Experience

Robyn Mitchell has over twenty-five years combined legal, regulatory and operational risk experience. Her areas of expertise include financial institutions, professional liability, and commercial dispute resolution. Her substantive law and regulatory experience includes the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, FACTA, Regulation E, banking deposits, and lending.

Ms. Mitchell’s career combines years of professional experience working as in-house counsel, outside counsel, corporate compliance risk manager and executive, and in government legal service. Her career includes service as Director of Regulatory Risk & Compliance Management for RBS WorldPay, service as Assistant General Counsel for Bank of America and its predecessor institutions, including Barnett Banks, Inc., and service as a compliance risk executive for Bank of America. In addition to years in private practice, Ms. Mitchell is a former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, and a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.  

Ms. Mitchell is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and is a Six Sigma Certified Green Belt in process improvement and design.
