Markee came to the firm in November of 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Markee was a sole practitioner at The Squire Firm, PLLC, located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a sole practitioner, Markee represented individuals and small businesses in civil litigation involving breach of contract, construction disputes, employment actions, real estate, and personal injury matters.
Markee attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2002. During his second year of law school, Markee became a member of the Holderness Moot Court's competition team for Constitutional Law. As a third year student, Markee was a certified student practitioner and represented clients in various criminal and civil proceedings in Durham County. Markee attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro and received a Bachelor of Science Degree as a double major in Agricultural Education and Economics in 1998. He received a master's degree in Economics from A&T the following year.
Markee began his legal career in 2002 as an associate with a general practice law firm in Hillsborough, North Carolina. His practice at the firm was concentrated in the areas of general civil litigation, business and corporate law. Markee relocated to Atlanta in 2007.
Markee is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar's Trial Practice Section. He is admitted to practice in all trial courts in Georgia, the United States District Court of the Middle District of North Carolina, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Markee is married to Tanya.
